This Privacy Policy explains how Bill Raven ("Bill Raven", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Bill Raven mobile application and any related websites or services (collectively, the "Service").

By using Bill Raven, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

We only collect information that is necessary to operate Bill Raven, improve the experience, and support your subscription (Raven Plus).

1.1 Information you provide

• Account details, such as your name, email address, and authentication identifiers.
• Subscription information, such as your selected plan (monthly or yearly), renewal status, and purchase identifiers from Apple (not your full payment card details).
• Support information, such as messages and attachments you send when you contact support or give feedback.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you use Bill Raven, certain information may be collected automatically, such as:

• Device information, including device model, operating system version, language, and app version.
• Usage information, such as the screens you view, features you use, and the timing of interactions, to help us understand how the app is used and improve it.
• Diagnostic and crash data, such as performance metrics and error reports, to maintain app stability and security.

1.3 Financial and billing data you enter

Bill Raven is designed to help you track bills and payments. Depending on how you use the app, you may store:

• Bill names, categories, due dates, amounts, currencies, and payment statuses.
• Reminders, notes, and other metadata that you optionally add to your bills.

Bill Raven does not require or store your full payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or online banking credentials inside the app.

2. How we use your information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the core Bill Raven features, such as bill tracking, reminders, and Raven Plus functionality.
• Manage your subscription, including validating purchases and renewals with Apple's in‑app purchase system.
• Improve and personalize the app experience, including understanding which features are most useful and where users encounter issues.
• Communicate with you about service updates, important notices, and support-related messages.
• Protect against fraud, abuse, and misuse, and to maintain the security of the Service.

We process your information only where we have a valid legal basis to do so, such as your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, or to fulfill our contractual obligations to you.

3. Third‑party services and data sharing

We may share limited information with trusted third‑party service providers that help us operate Bill Raven, such as:

• Analytics and performance tools (e.g., app analytics and crash reporting).
• Subscription and payment infrastructure, such as Apple's in‑app purchase system and any subscription backend used to manage entitlements (for example, a subscription/receipt verification service).
• Communication tools, used to send emails or in‑app messages related to your account or the Service.

These third parties only receive the information necessary to perform their services and are required to process your data securely and in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data storage and retention

Your data may be stored on secure servers operated by us or our service providers. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to:

• Provide the Service and maintain your account.
• Comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
• Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

When data is no longer needed for these purposes, we will delete it or anonymize it.

5. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have some or all of the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: Request that we correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal and contractual limitations.
• Restriction or objection: Request that we limit or stop certain processing of your personal information.
• Withdrawal of consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

You can exercise many of these rights directly in the app (for example, by updating account details, editing or deleting bill entries, or cancelling your subscription). If you cannot do so in the app, contact us using the details in the Contact us section.

6. Account deletion

You can delete your Bill Raven account at any time from within the app by going to Settings → Delete Account. When you delete your account, we permanently erase all your data:

6.1 What gets deleted

• iCloud data: All bill data synced to your iCloud account is permanently deleted. We explicitly remove all CloudKit records associated with your account.
• Server data: Your account information and profile data stored on our servers is permanently deleted.
• Local data: All bill templates, payment history, and app settings stored on your device are permanently erased.
• Notifications: All pending notifications are cancelled and notification preferences are reset.

6.2 Important notes

• This action is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, we cannot recover your data.
• Multi-device sync: If you use Bill Raven on multiple devices, the deletion will sync across all devices signed into your iCloud account.
• Offline deletion: If you delete your account while offline or not signed into iCloud, your cloud data may not be immediately deleted. In this case, you can manually remove iCloud data by going to iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Bill Raven → Delete Data.

6.3 Retention exceptions

After account deletion, we may retain limited information as required by law, such as transaction records for tax or accounting purposes. This retained data is anonymized where possible and kept only for the minimum period required by applicable regulations.

7. Children's privacy

Bill Raven is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or a higher age as required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in this age group. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no system or method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

If you access Bill Raven from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be transferred across borders. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards to protect your personal information in connection with such transfers.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an in‑app notice).

Your continued use of Bill Raven after any changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acknowledgment of the changes and your agreement to the updated terms.
